2nd November 2011 - Well done to Dan and all involved in the Wicker Man Oxford Project for this note of support from David Cameron!

“The first time I saw a “Wicker Man” sculpture was at the Harvest Festival in Kingham last September. I was impressed by the sheer size, detail and creativity of the project. On speaking to Dan, I was delighted to hear about how many schools, businesses and volunteers are involved and I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the amazing work that everyone involved in this community project puts in. Keep it up!”

3rd November 2011- Wicker Man Oxford receive a commendation at the Oxford Preservation Trust Awards.

November 2011 - Wicker Man Oxford has been nominated to attend The Great Exhibition 2012 for 'Greats of Great Britain'. Its really early days and it'd be fab if you could follow the link and vote. If we could hold 1st place just for a little while it would be a great asset for the Wicker Man Project.

20 - 21 & 23rd October 2011 - See the Medusa head travel around all Oxfordshire Towns prior to its burning on November 5th 2011.

8 - 16th October 2011- The 42 ft sculpture will be on display at the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve

9th -11th September 2011 - The 42ft sculpture will be on display at Alex James presents Harvest nr Kingham

4th September 2011 - The head of the sculpture will be at the Wychwood Forest Fair in Witney

2nd - 3rd September 2011- The head of the sculpture will be at the Arcane Festival in Eynsham

27th-29th August 2011 - The head of the sculpture will be at the Bicester Wyevale garden Centre

19th August 2011- The head of the sculpture will be at the Cowley Classic Car Rally - Oxford

23rd July 2011 - The head of this years Sculpture will be at the farm shop nr Waterperry gardens , wheatley

17th July 2011- The head of this years Sculpture will be at Cogges Manor Farm, Witney farmers market

3rd July 2011 - The head of this years Sculpture will be at the Cowley Carnival

9th July 2011 - The head of this years Sculpture will be at Witney Carnival

12th-13th June 2011 - Wicker Man Oxford Community Project will be present at the Oxford Castle Flower and Garden Festival with Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre. Alan Hambidge will be giving a presentation at 5.30pm on 12 &13 June at 5.30pm in the marquee.
 
6th June 2011 - The head of this years Sculpture was craned onto the roof top garden of the Malmaison Hotel, Oxford. Prior to its safe delivery it was craned into positioned on the hisorical Castle Mound.
